Little Lily Joy is 10 weeks old! We had a blast taking her trick or treating for her very first Halloween. She was a very cute fuzzy penguin. Pictures will be up soon. At her doctor's appointment she weighed in at 11.5 pounds & 23 inches long! Her newest tricks are blowing bubbles, gurgling to us (her cutest form of communication), more smiles, and she can prettey much hold her head up on her own. Sometimes when she wakes up from her crib she even stretches her head and neck so far up, supporting herself with her forearms, that we can see her looking around without us having to peek over the side. She is super cute of course and growing out of all of her newborn/preemie/0-3month clothes.
Parenting is going well. It has a new challenge everyday that Eric and I are trying our best to figure out and make wise decisions. Lily tells us what she wants pretty easily...one little wimper and we are at her beck and call! We are learning how to let her fall asleep on her own and anticipating what her need will be. She is a really sweet and predictable baby during the day, however her evenings are still different and constantly change. We are really exhausted some days...but then she'll give us the biggest smile and it gives us energy to do it all over again. Alas...the joys of parenthood.
