Lily's 1st Birthday Party was a Hit - she had a Blast! Lily enjoyed her balloons, strawberry cake, and the bunches of presents and books she got from family & friends. It was a beautiful day! And we enjoyed playing pin the tail on the donkey while some of the guys played bache ball. Lily enjoyed sitting on a blanket outside enjoying her company, and I think her favorite thing was playing with balloons for the first time. Lily had her 1 year check up - she weighed 20 lbs and was 30 1/2 inches long. Tall for her age. She was doing all the things she should...and since her appt she is almost standing on her own, has begun to cruise on our funiture (walking while holding on), wave hi & bye (sometimes), and has attached herself to her baby lamb stuffy and call's her "BEE" - so cute. She's almost off the bottle completely though I hear she may regress when the baby comes, and she is down to an afternoon nap! I cannot believe all of the development and growth that she has gone through in just 1 year, and she's stilll our tiny baby girl.
I am going weekly to the doctor now, and so far so good, great heart beat, still head down, and belly measures perfect! I am feeling good, now that we have our house in order and the parties are done, I feel like I can rest! It's hard for me to sleep at night, I often wake up and don't know what to do it's so early- just nature's preparation for his arrival I suppose. My body is feeling the strain of the extra weight now, but in general I feel healthy. Another appointment this friday, I cannot believe I am in my 37th week of pregnancy!
News on another front - My sister April and her husband Mike and my Mom leave for Viet Nam today to go pick up their own baby girl. We threw April's Baby shower on Saturday - it was beautiful- and now we'll anxiously await the arrival of our niece Mai Ly. Please keep them in their prayers as they head on a long and wonderful journey.
