Happy Father's Day!
This weekend marks the somewhat end of a chapter in my life. On Saturday we had our dance recital for Webby Dance Company, the studio that I teach for. It was a long weekend of working, being on my feet, but also having fun as I saw my little dancers for the last time. Or at least for awhile. It was so neat seeing them go on stage for most of them, their very first time. Many of my students are of the ages 3 and 4, so you can imagine how hilarious and adorable a recital like this could be. It's quite entertaining! I am not sure if it was the pregnancy hormones kicking in, or just pride...but I cried when my first couple classes performed. I had so much fun teaching them all year. I won't be teaching in the summer since our baby will be arriving soon...and who knows when I'll be healed and able to coordinate a schedule with a newborn to teach again. I am hoping to teach part time or one day a week or something in the fall or winter. But it's important to us that I stay at home with her, and then if it works out...it would be wonderful to teach on the side. The recital overall went Great! And this week I'll turn in all my dancing props and teaching gear, which to me is really sad, I really enjoyed being a part of something and working with the women that I work with. I will be honest, the extra baby weight is not condusive for so much excersize, so I am grateful that it has come to a close so I can rest and prepare for the baby. I am ready to focus on getting her room set up and preparing my heart and mind for this little one. Both Eric and I are. Tomorrow night is our last Bradley (labor) class. We've been through 12 weeks of it, it's been SO helpful and informative. We decided to have our teacher be our dula for the birth. A dula is similar to a midwife, she is like a nurse but is with you through out the birth. The couple that had their baby early are supposed to come in and talk about how everything went and bring him in for all of us to ooh and awe at. I can't wait!
